Ms. Lewis has a combined experience of over 18 years working as an educator and librarian. After earning her bachelor's degree in Music, Ms. Lewis spent the first part of her career in Maryland, earning a Master's degree in Special Education, and teaching in both urban and rural schools. While in Maryland, Ms. Lewis also gained leadership experience in public education in her role as MTSS Coordinator. In 2017, Ms. Lewis returned to Mississippi, earning a Master's degree in Library & Information Science. She has since been working as a high school librarian where she has had the opportunity to build a robust high school library program from the bottom up, as well as be a part of multiple collaborative educational projects and programming.
